TK I - Tourbillon Escapement - According to Hellwig Glashütte
In Dresden at the beginning of the 1970s, an enthusiastic collector decided to build an escapement - already then all the individual parts were constructed and build on his own account. The optic beauty of Glashütte´s tourbillons according to Hellwig and its perfection in dimension, form and weight had let it become the blueprint for the first version.

All parts of the cage consist of untreated German silver and have the shape of a lyre. This watch´s hairspring chronometer escapement is bedded in Ruby; already then the hairspring, which is only a hundredth millimeter thick, was filed and polished by hand, until eventually the desired perfection would be achieved.
Embedded into a marble pillar, today the TK1 still gives a lot of pleasure to its owners - all 15 models are part of collector´s treasuries.
